Client
Dealer and archivist of high-end, vintage audio equipment, Wilton Music Mall.
Brief
Craft an appropriate identity and comprehensive website.
Present the dealer's significant inventory and expertise with clarity.
Originate shareable content that enables organic self-promotion.
Response
Wilton Music Mall needed to develop a brand presence that expressed their highly refined sensibility and authority, supported premium pricing, and encouraged the sharing of brand content among collectors.
We sought a visual language that emphasises the dealer's credibility, striking a balance between technical expertise and aesthetic discernment. Informed by the aesthetics of the audio objects and by the obsessive nature of collecting, the identity combines precise typography, exacting close-up photography and an animated 'amplifier' device signifying music in motion. The website is a shrine to audiophilia: navigation, inspired by cataloguing systems, guides visitors swiftly through the vast collection to the dealer's forensic knowledge about specific objects of interest.
