Wilton Music Mall

An identity and website design for a dealer of high-end ‘70s and ‘80s audio equipment. The rational arrangement of pages serves as a counterweight to the diversity of the objects presented on them, providing a clean and ordered structure for an extraordinarily diverse collection. Because the dealer’s stock is so striking at a formal level, visitors’ initial encounter with it is largely visual. Subsequent navigation towards individual object pages reveals an archival dimension. These pages are cool and clean, their informational and technical appearance relieved by a generous scale. Art direction and production of the site’s photographic content was crucial to achieve the correct tone and form of presentation. To ensure consistency, the client has been supplied with a clear set of photographic guidelines.
