Our identity design for Komeda Films picks up on the production company’s close connection to the music industry. Parallel rulers, recalling the regular divisions of the pentatonic scale, form the basis of a variable graphic device – applied to stationery as an emblem, and assuming a structuring role for the website where it dramatically frames images and partitions content. The consistent use of this device across a variety of applications provided for a robust identity, one that communicates Komeda Films’ creative flexibility and the rigour of its approach.
In addition to designing the identity and website, we also built the site. We provided seamless integration of video content and interface through a custom player for video; to keep the site lean, we coded the 9 sec. landing page animation.
